PLEX-ID is an easy-to-use self-contained instrument designed to automate sample cleanup, injection, base composition determination, and sample reporting for routine, high-throughput DNA analysis.
All of the forensics assays, mitochondria DNA, STR, Y-STR*, and SNP*, are conveniently provided in a prefilled plate and utilize the same workflow, platform, and software. The scientist simply adds the extracted DNA to the plate, 8 wells per sample. The plate is sealed, placed on a thermal cycler, then onto the PLEX-ID for analysis.
