The Ibis T5000 Biosensor System can process hundreds of samples per 24 hours, using automated processes, delivering results that can lead to significant impacts for your research or forensics needs.
How it Works
The Ibis T5000™ Biosensor System technology uses a proprietary system of broad-range primers and mass spectrometry to identify organisms present in a sample. The broad-range primers amplify regions of known or unknown pathogens, then mass spectrometry determines the molecular weights of these regions. The Ibis T5000 Biosensor System translates these data into easily understood results in an automated fashion. The entire process--from sample to answer--can be completed in less than five hours.
The Ibis T5000 Biosensor System incorporates technology that enables organism identification and strain genotyping, all in an integrated workflow, starting with your sample of interest.
The Ibis T5000 Biosensor System is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
